I work with ages 7 – 73.
Do you work with people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions?
Yes, I welcome and am comfortable working with people regardless of their background, ethnicity, or religion.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session typically involves welcoming and introducing ourselves and completing intake paperwork and an assessment.
How long will I be in therapy?
Individuals typically continue therapy until they have become the person they want to be; this can range from a few sessions to a few years, depending on your therapy goals.
How do you work with clients?
My foundation is Person-Centered, which means that I am a guide to my client who is the captain of the ship; our primary tool may be IFS (Internal Family Systems); we may also use DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), mindfulness, music therapy, or other powerful tools needed. For children, Person-Centered Expressive Arts is amazingly effective and fun!
Do you offer video or phone sessions?
Yes, I offer virtual sessions, and phone sessions are also possible if you don’t have Wi-Fi.
