Therapy is a homecoming, reuniting you with yourself!
The individual with the courage to face their fears and proceed with the therapy journey can uncover the world’s greatest treasure – themselves!
Our clinical relationship provides the safety you need to breathe, let loose, and venture into your life challenges in a supportive environment. Our clinic is a judgment-free zone. We love curiosity! How can we enable you to become the person you want to be?!
Life’s ups and downs accompany the awesome reward of expanding your well-being. Our work together will empower you to navigate life’s ocean independently. You will learn how to calm yourself, making life’s turbulent waters manageable and a source of growth.
Meeting your needs is the goal.
We will sit together in a therapy room of unconditional support and positive regard.
The sessions are yours – whether you want to do inner psyche work, speak about current relationships, professional or social challenges, or just come and be supported.
You are the captain of your ship, and I am your guide to sail life’s waters with calmness, confidence, and joy.
About Me
Life’s transitions encouraged me to help others.
Twenty-six years ago, I set out to save the world by working with the U.S. Peace Corps in the jungles of Ecuador. I’m unsure how I survived the venomous snakes, intestinal worms, and malaria! Amazing how not having running water or electricity while having a plethora of great friends, rainforests, and books can expand one’s consciousness.
My mission switched to becoming my best self and helping others do the same. Wow!
After attending therapy to heal, I earned a certification in Life Coaching and then returned to graduate school. I have two Master’s degrees in Public Health and in Mental Health Counseling. I am trained as an IFS therapist, have a trauma certification, am a Journey Practitioner, and have training in DBT.
My specialty is in developmental trauma, and I have experience working effectively with PTSD, developmental trauma and neglect, anger management, anxiety, depression, ADHD, AODA, developmental disabilities, and Adjustment Disorder.
My life is full of adventure.
In my free time, I love to listen to classical, instrumental, reggae, and rock n’ roll music; play ultimate frisbee; and make others laugh and laugh myself. I also hope to return to snorkeling and scuba diving someday!
I love to travel and have driven across the U.S. on a few occasions and traveled to Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Brazil, Columbia, Kenya, Israel, Egypt, England, Holland, and Denmark. These days my traveling is mainly in the house, helping my wife take care of our ‘trippy’ children!
